About the Artist Paintings Sculpture Retrospective Found a Painting by Janet Tuck?

Janet got her start as an artist and sculptor while working in a display studio
while in High School in Aurora Illinois. A full tuition scholarship won
during her senior year led her to a degree from the American Academy of Art,
Chicago and then to a career as a commercial artist and the Art Director of the
Lester Jacobs Advertising Agency.
After marrying, she and her husband moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where
she began painting seriously and full-time. She immediately began winning
many first-place art awards and exhibiting in museums. After
completing the house that they built with their own hands on the coast of
Northern California, she and her husband began a series of moves around the
country with their two young daughters—Connecticut, Tennessee, Connecticut,
Washington, Southern California—At each place, Janet found places to exhibit.
Janet now exhibits her paintings and sculptures in Southern California and
paints and sculpts on commission. You may have seen some of her public
sculpture works while driving around Los Angeles.
